⬛️ 🕯
Colm Mythen represented the very best of us.
Everyone in St Pats GAA Club is deeply saddened at his passing.
Words will be cheap now for Niamh and the Mythen family. It's all we have to offer and we hope the family can in time appreciate the special mark that Colm made on all who had the rare privilege to know him.
Colm was a person of immense character and kindness.
Always considered, thoughtful, empathetic and compassionate, he was a leader and someone we all admired for his charity, wisdom and inherent decency.
All of the values that underpin what the GAA stands for in the modern world, you didn't have to look too much further than Colm Mythen.
And with an acute fondness for the small ball. Don't we all!
The introduction of juvenile hurling, the establishment of the MAI Hurling event, and the dual mandate we follow all came about because of his courage, leadership and vision to give all of the young children in the community the gift of opportunity.
A contribution that will endure for many years to come.
The coming days, weeks and months ahead will be a challenging one for the Mythen family as they come to terms with his loss and we want them to know that our support will be unwavering and total.
To that end we extend our sincerest sympathies to Niamh, Caoímhe, Senan, Béibhinn and Sadhbh. And we send our condolences to the wider Mythen family.
We will all miss him dearly.
